What is Oracle Cloud?

Oracle’s Public Cloud is an integrated platform designed to increase business agility and drive innovation through a number of IT solutions. Through Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), the cloud offers dynamic solutions that can help decrease costs, increase scalability, and create greater flexibility for transformation within your business.

SaaS, or Software on Demand, refers to computer applications that are delivered as a service via the Internet.  Software on demand is a new paradigm for the industry that provides the primary benefit of lowered operational and capital expenses for enterprise information technology services.

PaaS builds on top of IaaS to include an environment and a platform upon which users may deploy their own custom, or customized versions of, software.

PaaS provides a complete application development and distribution platform. This allows the developer to design, test and implement their software on the same platform that their end-user clients will be utilizing to run the application.

IaaS is a form of cloud computing that involves a group of networked computers from which a user may use computing resources. IaaS pools the computing resources such that the user may use as much or as little computing resources as the user needs without reliance on a physical server.
